Still going strong
Rupert Green, who with Bob Hartley founded the steam show at the Farmersville Exhibition in Athens in 1980, displayed his 1925 George White steam engine at the 31st edition of the show on July 18. Green received the engine from his father William Green and used it to run a sawmill, thresh grain and boil syrup. It is now used for show here and at Athens Cornfest.

Rate cut angers ground-mount solar sector

CHESTERVILLE - Unhappy solar power vendors remained on tenterhooks awaiting final word on a 27 per cent rate cut that was suddenly announced July 2 by the Ontario Power Authority.
