LOMBARDY — Rideau Carleton Raceway will host Eastern Ontario’s second Upper Canada Rodeo event of the year.

Upper Canada Rodeo Foundation President Kevin Pennock mounted his professionally sanctioned Rawhide Rodeo show June 23-24 at the Lombardy Fairgrounds, and estimated at the time that he broke even on the chartitable venture. A last minute snag saw his seating contractor’s stands condemned by an engineer on behalf of the local municipality. Spectators sat on haybales instead. Still, Pennock was pleased with the "five-star" event and announced another rodeo this Sept. 29 and 30 at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
