Eastern Ontario Bilingual Farm Business Management Conference Being Planned For February 2009

Staff from OMAFRA along with partners from a number of financial institutions as well as local organizations have begun planning a farm business management conference for producers and other stakeholders in Eastern Ontario. The conference is scheduled for February 26th, 2009. The exact location has yet to be confirmed. The conference, which will be conducted in both English and French with simultaneous translation. Speakers will include:

• Dr. David Kohl, Virginia Tech – "Goal Setting Given The New Economic Realities";

• Pierrette Desrosiers, Psycoaching – "Finding, Managing And Retaining Farm Employees";

• John Molenhuis,OMAFRA – "How To Determine, Analyze And Improve Your Cost-Of-Production;

• Stephane D’Amato – Axis Agriculture – "Market Outlook And Better Marketing Strategies For Cash Croppers".
