$185 Million Investment in Rural Ontario
The Ontario government has announced a new investment in rural Ontario that will build opportunity for farmers and strengthen vital infrastructure in rural communities.
The government will invest an additional $185 million in rural Ontario. Of this, $110 million will go directly to farmers to provide transitional funding as it moves to a better method of valuing inventory under the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization program, and to continue the Self-Directed Risk Management program. Another $75 million will be invested in rural infrastructure.
