The fall edition of Leadership in Action has been planned for Oct. 20 to 22, at the Cedar Glen Conference Centre near Bolton.
Leadership in Action is a dynamic, hands on seminar for people who are in leadership positions in organizations and rural groups in Ontario. It is a skills development program for people who are trying to make a difference in their communities in the face of dramatic and rapid change.
Leadership in Action is a three day program offered by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs. Nearly 500 rural Ontario leaders have taken the workshop in the last ten years. A past participant has said "Leadership in Action is an excellent way to meet people, grow personally and strengthen the organization you are involved in". Another one noted "It is an exciting experience Ð you will meet a lot of great people and come back home full of new ideas, skills, and confidence to get the job done. Networking with people from many organizations was very worthwhile".
Cost for the three day program is $260 including accommodations and meals. The first 30 people will be selected to participate.
The next opportunity to register for Leadership in Action is now. A copy of the detailed brochure and registration form is available at your local OMAFRA office.
